Common sense vs Scientific

While I talking to dickhead, this is exactly what happened. We heard a loud sound that sounded almost like a bomb exploded in the sky.

Obviously, I call it tunder. And I have no clue on what will happen. All I keep on saying is, Walaueh, bloddy tunder damn loud!

Then dickhead said, we will experience a heavy rain tonight.

I looked at him and asked, Its already raining now, by the time it reaches night, no more rain already right?

And dickhead explained as he walked away, When there are a loud sound heard from the sky, it means there are two big clouds collide. And when they collide, the water accumulated on the cloud will pour down which resulted heavy rain.

Slowly but surely, it rain really heavy during that night. Really heavy.
